Thomas McCarthy, ChFC®, AIF®, Managing Partner of KAF Wealth Management, was named a finalist for the Community Service Award from the Invest in Others organization, which honors financial advisors nationally for outstanding charitable work. In recognition of McCarthy’s service and commitment, the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation awarded $25,000 to South Shore Health in his honor.

It was a memorable evening for South Shore Health’s Marketing and Communications Team at the 34th Annual Lamplighter Awards Gala in Newport, RI last week!

The April reception brought South Shore residents and community leaders together to learn more about the local healthcare landscape, South Shore Health’s response to current challenges, and the advanced levels of care we’re able to provide.

With more than 200 students, teachers, and administrators from Blue Hills, Holbrook, MAP Academy, Marshfield, Rockland, and Scituate High Schools in attendance, these events are an excellent way to highlight the many careers and educational paths available in the healthcare field.

Dr. Ghushe, an accomplished bariatric and general surgeon, has performed bariatric surgery at South Shore Hospital since 2017.

U.S. News & World Report has named South Shore Hospital as a “High Performing” hospital for two adult specialties and five procedures and conditions. “High Performing” is the highest rating a hospital can earn.
