Marketing and Communications Team Earns High Honors at Lamplighter Awards Gala

It was a memorable evening for South Shore Health’s Marketing and Communications Team at the 34th Annual Lamplighter Awards Gala in Newport, RI last week! 

Held by the New England Society for Healthcare Communications (NESHCo), the Lamplighters showcase and honor excellence in healthcare communications throughout the New England region.

In addition to taking home nine awards, Executive Director David Reilly was honored with the prestigious Evans F. Houghton Award, which recognizes exemplary performance in, and significant contributions to, the field of healthcare communications.

In their review, the Houghton Selection Committee remarked on David’s longtime commitment to NESHCo, his “in the trenches” work leading teams in healthcare organizations, his leadership skills, and strong team support. 

"These awards reflect the great work of this team in helping to communicate who South Shore Health is to both our internal and external audiences, as well as the incredibly important work they do in promoting health care services, information, and resources to the community.  From TV advertising to website development to video production, they are creating excellent content and it is wonderful to see them get recognized in this way," remarked Daiva Braunfelds, Senior Vice President/Chief Strategy Officer, who oversees the Marketing and Communications Team.

Additionally, during the conference portion, Senior News & Information Specialist Kristen Perfetuo co-led an educational session titled “No Budget, Low Budget, and What Will “This” Get Me” about producing high-quality videos on a low budget.
