Cancer Education & Support Programs

Cancer education and support programs are a vital part of the cancer treatment process for patients, families and caregivers alike. The Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Hospital offers free programs to help you and your loved ones understand and manage the physical, emotional and spiritual challenges of cancer.

Please view our current calendar of events, where you will find free and ongoing, world-leading support and resources to help you along this journey to treatment and recovery.

Chemo Orientation Class

If you are a cancer patient about to undergo chemotherapy at our Center or the main campus in Boston, we encourage you to attend a free orientation program—the first of its kind in our state—that will help provide answers to questions you may have about chemotherapy, what to bring with you to your treatment appointments, and any side effects you may experience and how to manage those effects.
