Providing additional support for individuals in recovery

The Day Treatment Program, part of the Grayken Center for Treatment at South Shore Health, offers intensive, structured care for individuals in recovery from substance or alcohol use disorder.

This program combines therapy, group support, and personalized treatment plans to help patients receive the support they need during a crucial period in their recovery.

The Day Treatment Program is staffed by clinicians from Aspire Health Alliance and the Grayken Center for Treatment, including social workers, counselors, and addiction medicine specialists.

The Day Treatment Program is located on the first floor of the South Shore Health Outpatient Center, located at 780 Main Street in Weymouth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Patients of the Day Treatment Program must be 18 years old or older and will be referred into the program by the Bridge Program.

If you feel like the Day Treatment Program would be a good fit for you, contact the Bridge Program at 781-624-5065 to schedule an initial appointment.

Prior to enrollment in the Day Treatment Program, Bridge Program clinicians will assess patients to determine if the program offers the appropriate level of care.

Therapy is the primary method of treatment in the Day Treatment Program.

This includes group and individual therapy sessions to reinforce healthy coping skills, promote sobriety, and help patients maintain their daily responsibilities.

Participants attend the program three hours per day for a minimum of three days per week for approximately six weeks.

Along with the therapy mentioned above, the Day Treatment Program uses its referral network to connect patients to additional resources as they continue their recovery.

These resources include Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and longer-term therapeutic support and medication management programs.

The Day Treatment Program is located at the South Shore Health Outpatient Center at 780 Main Street in Weymouth.

The private office for the Day Treatment Program is located on the first floor.

Free parking is available on site.

Community Collaboration

The Day Treatment Program is funded through a combination of grant funds from the Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) and Opiate Abatement Settlement funds from the Town of Weymouth.
