Traumatic injuries are largely preventable. That’s why injury prevention is a critical piece of our Trauma Center program.
Our prevention efforts are data-driven and target the most common causes of injury that we see on the South Shore, which currently includes motor vehicle crashes, falls, and pedestrian crashes.
South Shore Health is proud to host a robust, multidisciplinary injury prevention program. Our nurses, EMS colleagues, physicians, program managers, health educators and many more experts contribute to this work.
Our program also benefits from collaboration with many community-based partners and local governmental agencies, including:
- Safe Kids Worldwide
- South Shore Health’s Youth Health Connection
- Massachusetts Prevent Injuries Now! Network
- Linden Ponds
- Weymouth TUFTS Library
- Hingham Coalition on Aging (COA)
- Weymouth Public Schools
- Local Fire and Police Departments
If you are a community organization looking for expertise on injury prevention, please contact us to discuss how South Shore Health can help.
