Heart and vascular diseases, such as heart attack and stroke, is the leading cause of death in men and women in the United States. With early detection and skilled intervention by a team of cardiologists and vascular specialists, you can minimize the risks associated with cardiovascular disease.

The Cardiovascular Center at South Shore Health specializes in the prevention, detection, treatment and rehabilitation of heart disease. Our program uses the latest technologies to treat a variety of conditions including heart attack, coronary artery disease, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and peripheral arterial disease.

Our Approach
Our seasoned care team includes more than 30 of the region’s most skilled cardiologists, radiologists, and vascular surgeons. In addition to these seasoned physicians, you will be supported by experienced and certified cardiac nurses, physical and occupational therapists, home infusion nurses, social workers, and certified home health aides

South Shore Hospital is home to Southeastern Massachusetts’ only hospital with 24-hour access to primary angioplasty, a life-saving heart treatment, and the region’s busiest cardiac catheterization lab.

South Shore Hospital received the American Heart Association's Mission: Lifeline® Gold Receiving Quality Achievement Award. This award is given to hospitals that follow evidenced-based guidelines for prompt treatment of heart attacks, beginning with the 9-1-1 call and continuing through hospital treatment.

We see patients at South Shore Hospital at 55 Fogg Road in Weymouth, along with our South Shore Cardiology office at 70 Pleasant Street in Weymouth, walking distance from the hospital. We also have many more affiliate cardiology offices around the South Shore. We are proud to care for patients across the region, including Brockton, Weymouth, Quincy, Braintree, Marshfield, Plymouth, Hingham, Norwell, and the surrounding areas.
