Does your student athlete need a sports physical before getting back on the track, diamond or playing field this spring?
Need a checkup for your summer camp-bound kid?
South Shore Health Urgent Care has you covered.
Our six South Shore Health Urgent Care locations provide pre-participation physical exams for students in grades K-12 for sports and camp activities. The cost is $30 and walk-in or convenient appointment scheduling is available.
Required by most school districts, athletic leagues and camp programs, sports physicals help ensure your child is healthy and can safely play a sport.
These exams can also raise awareness about any health issues that could interfere with their ability to participate in sports or camp activities.
During the sports physical, South Shore Health Urgent Care providers will review your child’s height, weight and vital signs. A basic physical exam will be performed.
Our providers can also identify areas prone to injury and suggest tips to help prevent future problems. And we’ll complete the forms required by your school district.
As a reminder, sports/camp physicals should not replace your child’s annual wellness visit with their primary care provider.
A parent or legal guardian must accompany all students under the age of 18.
