Critical Care

Here for You When Minutes Matter

An accident. A stroke. An infection. A heart attack. At times like these, access to high-quality critical care services isn’t a luxury. It’s a necessity.

Our Critical Care program is based in the Richard and Joann Aubut Critical Care Unit (CCU) at South Shore Hospital. This state-of-the-art facility allows us to better meet the region’s growing need for advanced critical care services.

Our highly-skilled, interdisciplinary team cares for patients with significant injuries, complex illnesses, or for those who are recovering from major surgery.

Our Approach
The Aubut CCU, which opened in 2017, features 24 spacious private rooms that accommodate the sophisticated technology required to save and sustain lives. Additionally, the CCU features architectural elements that are proven to support healing, such as windows that allow natural light in each room.

The Aubut CCU also provides comfortable spaces for family members so they can stay close to their loved ones during a stressful time. We are proud to offer a healing and supportive environment for critically ill or injured patients and their families.
