Thomas McCarthy, ChFC®, AIF®, Managing Partner of KAF Wealth Management, was named a finalist for the Community Service Award from the Invest in Others organization, which honors financial advisors nationally for outstanding charitable work. In recognition of McCarthy’s service and commitment, the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation awarded $25,000 to South Shore Health in his honor.

In 2019, South Shore Health received its seventh consecutive recognition as a Guardian of Excellence from Press Ganey.

IMPACT Melanoma Foundation and Arbella Insurance recently donated 150 “sun- safe” gift bags to South Shore Hospital’s newest parents and their newborns.

​​​​​​Clinical trials play a key role in modern medicine, helping clinicians and researchers both identify new treatments and improve existing treatments for illnesses of all kinds.

South Shore Health EMS recently hosted a Child Passenger Seat (CPS) certification course for first responders in the region. More than 30 attendees participated in the three-day course, which included classroom instruction, hands-on work with car seats, and a community safety seat checkup event.

The Hospital is one of only two community-based hospitals ranked in the Top Ten in Massachusetts.
