South Shore Hospital, part of South Shore Health, has received an Innovator Award from the editors of Healthcare Innovation for its groundbreaking work in Clinical Pharmacy Practice by improving the medication reconciliation process.

The shipment contained 1,950 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, which will be distributed to front-line workers across South Shore Health beginning this week.

Khalil Alleyne, MD, has been named Chief of Family Medicine at South Shore Medical Center. In his new role, Dr. Alleyne will oversee the Family Medicine Department while supporting providers, developing new programs and processes, and striving to enhance clinical medicine.

South Shore Health has been honored with the prestigious Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Stage 7 award for inpatient and outpatient services and technology. The HIMSS Stage 7 award recognizes the hospital for outstanding inpatient and outpatient services and technology.
