South Shore Medical Center patients who live in the greater Braintree area now have an option a little bit closer to home.

In July, South Shore Medical Center opened an office in Braintree at 340 Wood Road, offering an array of services, from adult primary care to laboratory services.

“This is an exciting time for South Shore Medical Center as we continue to look to expand services here on the South Shore,” said David Halle, MD, Medical Doctor of the Ambulatory Division at South Shore Health. “We will offer many of the same levels of care that we do at our Norwell and Kingston locations. Our team in Braintree will work collaboratively with all locations to provide care that is second to none for our patients.”

The Braintree office, which is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.,  includes eight exam rooms, with one room equipped to handle minor procedures including laceration repair, incisions and drainage. Currently, South Shore Medical Center in Braintree only sees patients who are 18 years old or older. Patients can complete lab work in Braintree and for more complex readings the sample will be expedited to the Norwell location for more testing.

In the coming months, Dr. Leyda Delgado will be joined by two more physicians and an advanced practice clinician to meet the needs of our patient population in Braintree.
