Compassionate Care for Our Youngest Patients

The Pediatric Rehabilitation program at South Shore Health offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, aquatic therapy, and speech therapy services for infants, children, and adolescents from birth to 17 years of age.

Each of our pediatric therapists is certified, licensed, and experienced in providing compassionate care to children of all ages.

Our pediatric therapists are committed to a single goal: helping your child reach his or her highest potential.

Our team will help your child fulfill that potential within a developmental play and/or neurological habilitation framework, using evidence-based treatment approaches specifically designed for your child's age and level of development.

Preparing for a visit

A parent or guardian must accompany all pediatric patients (including teenagers) to his or her first appointment in order to fill out the appropriate paperwork, including a consent form to receive treatment.

How can we help your child?

South Shore Health's pediatric rehabilitation services are offered in all of the major therapy disciplines. Our pediatric therapists are trained and experienced in working with pediatric patients, from infants through teenagers.

South Shore Health's experienced pediatric physical therapists treat children of all ages, including infants with torticollis/plagiocephaly or developmental delays to adolescent athletes trying to get back on the field.

Pediatric physical therapy goes beyond helping a child recover from a sports injury or a broken bone — it can be an effective treatment for children with balance issues, range of motion issues, troubles with mobility, and attainment of motor milestones.

Each of our pediatric physical therapists has extensive experience with the unique challenges that come with working with children and will work with you and your child to achieve all of his or her goals.
