Expert Care from Certified Hand Therapists

South Shore Health's hand therapy program offers world-class services for a variety of hand, upper extremity, wrist, and elbow conditions.

One of the only programs of its kind in our region, our hand therapy program is staffed primarily by certified hand therapists (CHT) who have undergone advanced education and training to specialize in treating hand, wrist, and elbow conditions.

Our certified hand therapists offer custom splinting services, post-surgical rehabilitation, preventative services, and ongoing treatment to help patients live their lives as productively and pain-free as possible.

Why see a certified hand therapist?

Certified hand therapists work closely with hand surgeons, primary care providers, and other clinicians to help patients get specialized, targeted treatment for relevant conditions and injuries.

This specialized treatment helps ensure that patients have the ideal outcome after a surgical procedure or when dealing with a chronic condition.

While other therapists may offer hand therapy, only certified hand therapists have undergone the rigorous schooling and training required to earn the CHT credential.
