My passion for family medicine is rooted in the ability to take part in the growth and development of my patients as they reach milestones in their lives.

As a family nurse practitioner, it is a privilege to have the opportunity to build connections with my patients throughout their lifetime. Being a strong advocate of patient-centered care, I am committed to supporting my patients in a collaborative manner in order to help them meet and exceed their health goals. In my spare time I enjoy exercising, reading, and spending time with family.

My mission is to provide unbiased care to all individuals I encounter in my practice.

It gives me great pleasure to care for individuals in what may be some of the happiest and most vulnerable moments of their lives. I am passionate about getting to know patients and their families as we create partnerships to help them navigate their pregnancy and birth journey. It is my goal to help empower patients to make informed decisions about their pregnancy, health, and birth by providing them with knowledge and guidance.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and children. My hobbies include refinishing furniture and woodworking.

My goal is to help empower women and families and encourage them to be active participants in their care. 

I became familiar with midwifery care 20 years ago when I gave birth to my daughter with a group of amazing midwives. I was an experienced Labor and Delivery nurse at the time but, after my experience with the midwives, I knew that becoming a midwife was my true calling. I find every birth that I attend to be unique and special in its own way. I strive to help women achieve the labor and birth they desire. Everyone is different, and I enjoy getting to know families and helping them navigate this very pivotal time in their lives. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, paddleboarding, and crocheting.

Liana MacDonald is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Regis College with a Master of Science in Nursing in 2020. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2016 and began her nursing career in the Emergency Department. She has been working as a Labor and Delivery nurse since 2019.

Liana is passionate about health equity and eliminating the gap in care amongst different races and ethnicities. She is proud of her focus on adolescent health, substance use disorders in pregnancy, and trauma-informed care.  

When not at work, Liana can be found spending her time with family, friends, and her rescue dog. She loves to travel to new cities and countries and learn about different cultures. She also loves to give back to her community.
