South Shore Health has announced the election of two distinguished individuals to its Board of Directors who will serve terms through 2026.

January is National Blood Donor Month, an ideal time to spotlight the life-saving efforts of South Shore Health’s Blood Bank, which ensures safe transfusions through blood typing and cross-matching, stores and manages our blood inventory, and provides essential support during emergency situations.

Duxbury’s Rosemary and Jim Phalen; Christopher Oddleifson, Chief Executive Officer of Rockland Trust Company named “Home Care Champions."

All fundraising will support behavioral health or cancer care services and programs on the South Shore.

South Shore Health has been honored with the prestigious Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Stage 7 award for inpatient and outpatient services and technology. The HIMSS Stage 7 award recognizes the hospital for outstanding inpatient and outpatient services and technology.

Longtime South Shore Health supporters Rosemary and Jim Phalen will be named “Home Care Champions” and receive a unique Luminaria medallion alongside Christopher Oddleifson, Chief Executive Officer of Rockland Trust Company at this year's 9th annual Luminaria event.

On Saturday, April 27, more than 200 cowboys and cowgirls came together “As One” to attend the 16th annual Kickin’ Up Country for Home Care event hosted by The Friends of South Shore Health.

Jim and Mary Bristol and Rose Di Pietro, MSN, MBA, RN will be the recipients of a unique Luminaria medallion honoring "Home Care Champions."
