The annual signature event raised more than $33,000 to support the Home Care Division of South Shore Health System

Pembroke, MA – It was an evening of dinner, line dancing and vying for a chance to win fabulous raffle prizes in support of the Home and Community Care Division at South Shore Health System!

On Saturday, May 5, nearly 300 cowboys and cowgirls came together “As One” to attend the 15th annual Kickin’ Up Country for Home Care event.

This event is the signature fundraiser held by the Friends of South Shore Health System’s Friends of Home Care and, this year, a new benchmark has been set with more than $33,000 raised!

Held at the Pembroke Country Club, all proceeds help support the Home and Community Care Division of South Shore Health System, which provides hospice, visiting nurse and private duty nursing and aide services. “This was such a fun-filled evening,” said Jann Ahern, RN, Vice President, Home and Community Care Division at South Shore Health System. “We are truly grateful for the community’s charitable support of home care services on the South Shore. Thank you to all of our sponsors and attendees."

The evening began with a “Wet-Your-Whistle” hour followed by a spectacular buffet dinner. Throughout the night, guests filled the dance floor and enjoyed live music by the renowned country band, Sage & Whiskey. One highlight of the evening was a country-western themed photo booth where guests could show off their best cowgirl and cowboy smiles! Check out the fun photo booth pics at:
