South Shore Medical Center has changed procedures in order to keep our patients and staff safe as concern around COVID-19 grows.

The growing number of coronavirus cases across Massachusetts has led to new guidance from the state, which requires us to postpone select inpatient surgeries to keep beds open in the event they are needed for critically ill patients.

In light of the rapidly evolving situation surrounding COVID-19, South Shore Health today announced new limitations on surgical procedures at South Shore Hospital, effective Wednesday, March 18.
