Consider joining The Friends of South Shore Health. Members of the Friends support the Health System’s critical role in the community, have a special connection with a particular program area, or are leaders from the Health System’s professional staff. 

The Friends sponsor educational outreach programs, organize fundraisers and social events, and work with South Shore Hospital's Friendly Gift Shop, directing all proceeds to patient care. Each year, the Friends also award 20 scholarships to a variety of recipients pursuing careers in nursing and healthcare.

  • Discounts on select outpatient rehab and community health programs at hospital facilities

The Senior Safety & Resource Fair is a free event featuring classes, demonstrations, and information for seniors, caregivers, and individuals of all ages. This community event is sponsored by The Friends of South Shore Health, the Braintree Department of Elder Affairs, and the Rotary Club of Braintree.
