COVID-19 Update Image
South Shore Health continues to work with state, federal, and local partners on the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19).

To protect the health of patients, staff, and our community: we are restricting all visitors, unless pre-approved by each patient's care team under extenuating circumstances.

These restrictions are effective Saturday, March 14.

Certain exceptions to these restrictions apply as follows:

  • Pediatrics: Patients will be allowed one parent or guardian for the duration of their visits.
  • Special Care Nursery/NICU: Patients will be allowed to have both parents present for the duration of their stay, between 8 AM and 8 PM.
  • Labor and Delivery: Patients' significant other will be allowed for the duration of their stay.

In addition, all visitors are directed to enter or exit the hospital through the Main entrance between the hours of 5 AM-8 PM. After hours, visitors will need to enter through the Emergency Room entrance.
