Union Point Sports, the region’s premier indoor and outdoor sports complex, today announced that South Shore Health will serve as its primary healthcare sponsor.

“South Shore Health’s support of our 25-acre sports complex will allow us to kick on with more high level programming again this year,” said Union Point’s General Manager, Greg Hagan. “We have worked hard over the past 18 to 24 months to provide a premier athletic experience for players, families and community members. Our new marketing partnership, with the region’s largest independent healthcare system, will help to further elevate our plans.”

South Shore Health’s sponsorship will back a number of Union Point Sports initiatives impacting athletes of all ages and abilities, and thousands of families. It will also add tremendous value for the dozens of sports clubs and hundreds of teams, including Boston Laxachusetts and Boston Rugby Club that call the complex home.

“Whether it’s a team on the field, or a team in a healthcare setting, our goal as partners is to contribute to the health and wellness of the people of our community,” said Allen L. Smith, MD, MS, President & CEO, South Shore Health. “We are so pleased to be able to unite with Union Point Sports leaders in supporting local athletes, their families, and the entire South Shore region.”

Union Point Sports, located only a few miles from the South Shore Health main campus, features four fully-lit synthetic turf fields equipped with permanent playing surfaces for a variety of sports including soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, and rugby.
