It was an extraordinary night for South Shore Health’s Moonlight & Miracles Gala as attendees gathered to raise more than $768,000 for Emergency Services.

Donors and supporters helped shatter last year’s fundraising goals by more than $80,000 - proving once again that South Shore Health’s life-saving services profoundly impact the lives of thousands in the community.

Held October 20th at The Weymouth Club, this spectacular event delivered all the magic and elegance that makes the Moonlight and Miracles Gala so unique.

Funds directly benefit emergency services and programs at South Shore Health, including the Digger & Susan Donahue Emergency Department, Level II Trauma Center, South Shore EMS, and Mobile Integrated Health Program.

“These services and programs help provide immediate medical care for our patients and families with urgent or life-threatening conditions,” said Lauren Spencer, Senior Vice President, Chief Development Officer, South Shore Health. “We are truly grateful for the community’s charitable support, as well as the generous backing from all of our sponsors and attendees.”

More than 500 people attended this year’s Gala, which included both live and silent auctions. Emceed by radio and TV personality, Billy Costa, attendees danced the night away with music by the upbeat and lively band, Hot Mess.

Deep appreciation is extended to the entire Moonlight & Miracles volunteer gala committee, as well as this year’s Miracle Sponsors: Norwell’s Digger and Susan Donahue and Hingham’s Ken and Susan Kellaway.

“Sponsors make a tremendous impact in helping South Shore Health continue its mission to deliver high-quality, advanced care and resources to our patients close-to-home,” added Spencer.
