Join South Shore Health in Promoting a Safer, Healthier Community on Injury Prevention Day
November 18 is Injury Prevention Day, a time to focus on the importance of safety in our daily lives.
South Shore Hospital was licensed as the first Level II Trauma Center south of Boston in 2008.
Along with our commitment to providing higher-level care for our trauma patients, one of the goals of our Trauma Program is to share resources dedicated to proactively preventing injuries before they occur.
Injury Prevention Day is the perfect time to remind our community of the resources we offer when it comes to injury prevention.
Classes include:
- Falls prevention classes
- Safe driving practices
- Stop the Bleed© classes
- Car seat safety inspections
Our injury prevention classes are offered at various times throughout the year, so be sure to check South Shore Health’s events calendar for the latest listings.
While these classes each have a different target audience, the goal is the same: to educate our community about common injury risks and effective prevention strategies.
Our Trauma Program Injury Prevention Team strives to reduce the incidence of preventable injuries through awareness and education.
On November 18, please join us in wearing green for Injury Prevention Day!
Injury Prevention Day raises awareness about preventing injuries at home, work, and play.
By wearing green, we show our commitment to safety.
Remember – taking small steps today can prevent serious injuries tomorrow!
