I am originally from Cambridge, Massachusetts. I practiced in Quincy for 30 years before coming to South Shore Medical Center in 2002. I am experienced in abdominal surgery, trauma, and management of skin and soft tissue tumors. 

My philosophy is to have each patient feel safe and comfortable during their visits as we work together to obtain optimal women's health. 

I enjoy seeing patients on an ongoing basis and strive to develop long-term relationships that will allow me and my nurse practitioners to tailor our medical care for each individual patient's needs. We see patients in a setting that tries to foster a relaxed and friendly approach to patient care.

I am certified in menopause management as well as robotic surgery. I value being able to offer women information to assist them with transition through menopause. In addition, I have worked hard to make sure that women in the South Shore area have access to minimally invasive surgery and all it's benefits by offering robotic surgery to my patients. My nurse practitioners are especially adept at handling the needs of youth with their contraceptive needs, etc. 

My mission is to teach patients preventative measures to avoid disease processes.

It is a privilege to help patients understand their disease processes and actively participate in their care and decision making.

With my role in healthcare I want to ensure that patients feel well informed and comfortable making decisions about their care.

I enjoy being able to work with patients from a variety of different back grounds and help them through their hospital stay. I want patients to feel informed and included in their health care decisions. Outside of work I enjoy doing anything to move my body from rock climbing and skiing to running and strength training.

I have been providing medical and surgical foot and ankle care to the greater South Shore community since 1996. I first joined the medical staff of South Shore Hospital in 1997 and have been working with South Shore Medical Center since 2004. Some of my clinical interests include Podiatric Surgery and Sports Medicine of the foot and ankle.

Having sustained a major trauma or having undergone any kind of surgery (major or minor) can be extremely stressful. I often find myself treating patients and talking with families when they are often feeling at their worst. This is the time when I feel my warm personality and compassion can be the biggest contributors to alleviating some of that stress and anxiety. Outside of my practice, I prefer to spend time with my family enjoying the splendors of the South Shore.
