I completed my Master’s Degree as an Adult Nurse Practitioner at Northeastern University and earned my bachelors of Science degree from The College of the Holy Cross as a Biology Major and Philosophy minor. I worked as a registered nurse at MGH on a cardiac step down unit and then an NP in a busy nursing home practice and in two community health centers. I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors with my husband and two children.

My goal is to work collaboratively with patients and their families as well as the entire care team to support critically ill patients. Clinical care and working with the entire medical team to support patients and their families are my primary passions. I am also involved in ongoing research using imaging studies to better diagnose, monitor and understand lung disease and critical illness. Outside of work, I am an avid runner and sailor, and love spending time with my family.

I am a dedicated and patient focused physician with comprehensive experience in hospital settings. I hold a great regard for detail, accuracy and follow through and can make decisions in a fast paced and unpredictable environment. I value communication with patient, their families, my colleagues and support staff to provide very best care for our patients.

I believe that its a great privilege to help patients and their families and build long term relationships with them. As we all are unique, I believe that everyone's medical care should be tailored individually. communication is very important. Outside of work, I love hiking, reading and spending time with friends and family.

As a primary care clinician, I have the opportunity to develop a trusting partnership with my patients and their families to help them live a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy diagnosing and treating the various illnesses that affect patients during their lifetime, and take great pleasure in seeing them recover. It is important for me to listen carefully to my patients' concerns so we can work together to meet their individual healthcare needs.  

In my free time, I enjoy swimming, running, cycling, and skiing, in addition to spending time with my husband, adult children, and our new granddaughter.

I have been privileged to provide primary care to patients for 25 years. I started my career in women’s health, then transferred to Affiliated Medical Groups in Quincy. This practice then transitioned to cardiologist Dr. Lisa Antonelli, where I continued my role in providing comprehensive medical care for primary care patients. This practice then joined Dr. Barry Miller’s oncology practice in Quincy, where I continued with my role providing primary care to the adult population. 

In 2008, I decided to join the medical team at South Shore Medical Center, again as a Nurse Practitioner in the primary care role. I feel that I have been fortunate to provide care for many of my very first patients and their families today. 

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two sons and their families. I also enjoy hiking, kayaking, watercolor painting, and traveling.
