I'm a Senior Network Physician practicing at Dana-Farber Community Cancer Care in Weymouth. I am certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Hematology, Medical Oncology and Hospice and Palliative Medicine.  I received my BA from Oberlin College and my MD from Tufts University School of Medicine.  I did my training in Internal Medicine at Boston City Hospital and her Hematology-Oncology training at New England Medical Center. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, music and outdoor pursuits.

I grew up in southern Maine and attended Harvard University for my undergraduate education. While at Tufts University School of Medicine and Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, my focus was on primary care medicine. I believe in the dignity of each of my patients. Respect, compassion, and reliability are among my goals in patient care. In my free time, I enjoy the outdoors and the arts, usually in the company of my family. 

My mission is to provide safe, high quality, patient centered care in collaboration with the patient, their family, and other providers on the care team to promote the patient’s goals of care and overall well-being.

It is a privilege to advance my role as a nurse anesthetist at South Shore Hospital. It is of utmost importance to me that I gain the trust of my patients and involve them in the plan of care with effective communication and transparency. Being an advocate for my patients during the perioperative period is my priority. When I am not at work, I enjoy gardening, hiking, spending time at the beach, and cooking.

I started the PA program at Northeastern University in October of 1988. Since first picking up a stethoscope, I have loved being a PA. Many of my patients have shown courage and dignity at a most vulnerable time in their lives, often with good cheer. 

Great joys in my life include grand babies, my chubby cat, dog walks and kayaking at sunset. My passion project is making stained glass panels which feature birds, fish and animals in their natural habitat.

I am the Medical Director of Population Health for South Shore Health and divide my time between administration and patient care. My administrative interests include integration of care, professional development, and community centered program development. I value long-term relationships with my patients and find it a privilege to care for patients over their lifespan.

My mission is to give the same care to my patients as I would want for my family or myself.    

I was born and raised in the Boston area.  After a long period of schooling and training across the country (New Hampshire, Ohio, California, Pennsylvania), I have been honored to return home to take good care of my people!  When not fixing retinas, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my wife and three children.
