What Patients Need to Know About Hello World, Our New Communication Platform
Effective July 22, 2026, we will transition to a new communication platform designed to make it easier to stay connected to your care.
This platform, named Hello World, is an Epic application that supports secure two-way text messaging and improved phone and email between patients and South Shore Health.
(If you’re unfamiliar, Epic is the electronic medical record platform we use at South Shore Health – South Shore Health MyChart is built on Epic.)
New Short Code, Phone Number, and Email
As we transition to this new platform, there will be some changes to the communication you receive from us:
- Text message communications will now come from the short code 942719.
- Calls will come from the phone number 781-577-7379.
- Email will come from the email address donotreply [at] mail.southshorehealth.org (donotreply[at]mail[dot]southshorehealth[dot]org).
If you receive electronic communication from us, we encourage you to whitelist/allow mail from the email address above and add the new phone number to your contacts.
If you ever have concerns or questions about the validity of a text message, phone number, or email you receive from us, please contact your care team for confirmation.
Opting in to Text Messaging
Hello World allows us to share timely, important information via text message.
These text messages can include:
- Appointment reminders and confirmations
- Billing notifications
- Care updates and follow-up information
- Important health system announcements
While we recommend creating a South Shore Health MyChart account, an account is not required to receive or view information sent via our Hello World communication platform.
You can manage your communication preferences, including opting in or out of text messages from us, via MyChart or by contacting your provider’s office.
