My mission is to create a positive healthcare experience for patients and their families.

It is a privilege to build long-term relationships with my patients and their families and to be able to care for them through all stages of childhood, especially when they’re not feeling well.  I believe that it’s important for children to receive care in an environment where they feel comfortable.  In my free time, I like to read, go to the beach and spend time with family.

My mission is to treat the patient in front of me with compassion, dignity, and respect.

I believe that medical care needs to be tailored to the patient in front of me. I believe that taking the time to talk with the patient about their medical concerns is just as important as ordering tests and imaging. Taking the time to listen to the patient can go a long way to developing a respectful, trusted relationship, which can have a very positive outcome for patients. Outside of work I like rock climbing, hiking, and traveling.

My goal is to work collaboratively with patients and their families as well as the entire care team to support critically ill patients. Clinical care and working with the entire medical team to support patients and their families are my primary passions. I am also involved in ongoing research using imaging studies to better diagnose, monitor and understand lung disease and critical illness. Outside of work, I am an avid runner and sailor, and love spending time with my family.

It is an honor to have patients place their trust in my hands. I strive to provide excellent care throughout a patient’s entire hospital stay, be it in the ED, OR, ICU or ward. Outside of work I enjoy spending as much time as possible outside with my family and friends.
