Vaccines remain one of the most effective ways to protect children and communities from serious illness. Therefore, despite recent changes announced by the CDC, South Shore Medical Center's vaccine recommendations remain the same and continue to follow the scientific-based guidance of the American Academy of Pediatrics. With that in mind, our vaccine recommendations will not change and will continue to follow the scientific evidence and guidance of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
