Weymouth on guard against coronavirus, residents urged to take precautions

The Weymouth News spoke to local pharmacies, town officials, and public health experts like Todd Ellerin, MD, Director of Infectious Disease at South Shore Health explains the science behind the coronavirus and discusses some common myths about the use of face masks.

“The CDC says, while it is a contagious virus, the majority of the cases are mild,” [Ellerin] said. “It is a contagious disease, and we don’t have a vaccine for it, unlike influenza.”
