My focus is to provide a trusting environment for my patients and promote healthy habits for a high-quality life. 

I have spent the past seven years in acute care. I look forward to building a lasting rapport with my patients: to build relationships with my patients and to have the ability to individualize their care. 

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and being on the water. When the sun is out, you can find all of us swimming and enjoying time on our boat.

I'm a surgical oncologist, and the Medical Director of the Breast Care Center at Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center at South Shore Health and an Instructor in Surgery at Harvard Medical School. I received my Doctor of Medicine degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed my General Surgery residency at Boston University Medical Center.

My mission is to provide outstanding, compassionate care for patients with breast cancer which integrates multi-disciplinary care and allows for the most up to date treatment standards. 

I went into the field of breast surgery because I knew that I wanted to be able to help patients going through a new diagnosis of breast cancer with thoughtfulness and insight into the latest therapeutic options.  I feel that being a part of the team at the DFBWCC Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Health allows me to be a part of a team of superbly talented clinicians who all have the same goals in mind when it comes to the care of a patient with breast cancer – personalized care, compassion, mutual respect and attention to details. 

My mission is to provide compassionate care to all patients regardless of their background or socioeconomic status.

I have been passionate about health and wellbeing since I studied nutrition and dietetics in college. I believe in preventative medicine and embody a holistic approach to my care. I listen to my patients and allow them the space to make informed medical decisions about their own care. Outside of the workplace, I enjoy traveling, cooking and spending time with my yellow lab, Lily.

My mission/focus is to provide educational and compassionate care to my patients and families during their more vulnerable moments.

I feel it is a privilege to be on all of my past and future patients care teams. I understand the gravity behind choosing a provider for a loved one, and I take that decision to heart. I believe in having open dialogue with my patients so that I can best assist them in crafting a unique care plan towards their goals with the best evidence based practice. When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with family and friends and going to the beach.

My aim is to empower patients with shared, informed decision-making.

I feel grateful to work in medicine every day, and to develop relationships with my patients that empower them to feel informed and comfortable with their treatment plans. I particularly value the importance of taking time to discuss goals of care with my patients. Outside of work, I am an avid reader, and my hobbies include writing, jogging, and spending time with my significant other and out cat, Soot
