My treatment philosophy and focus is to diagnose and treat patients ages 15 – 100 whom have a variety of breast issues including but not limited to infection, pregnancy related breast issues, genetic risk for cancer, abscesses, skin disorders, abnormal breast imaging, breast lumps, and past or current personal history of breast cancer.

I've been an RN since 1981, working in Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Ventilator Care. I've been a NP since 1996. I'm a graduate of Columbia University in Adult Health and Oncology. I worked in New Jersey for 20 years in Internal Medicine and combined Oncology prior to relocating to Massachusetts in 2003.

I am a dedicated and patient focused physician with comprehensive experience in hospital settings. I hold a great regard for detail, accuracy and follow through and can make decisions in a fast paced and unpredictable environment. I value communication with patient, their families, my colleagues and support staff to provide very best care for our patients.

Developing healthy, trusting relationships with my patients is a passion of mine. Preventative medicine is key to a long, healthy life. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my french bulldog, Lilo, playing video games, hiking, traveling, and kayaking.

My goal is to care for our patients as we would our loved ones: with expertise, compassion, and respect.

I grew up in the Chicago area and graduated from University of Chicago before moving to Boston for medical training at Boston University, followed by residency at Boston Medical Center.

I have been a hospitalist attending physician at South Shore Hospital since 2012. I married in 2006 and have two girls.

I enjoy the challenge of the diagnostic process of medicine, which is one of the many reasons I have chosen to work as a nocturnist, which is a hospital-based physician who works overnight. In my free time, I've been known to read books about the American Revolution and Colonial Period, or attend hard rock/metal concerts. Also, '90s music is in my head all of the time.
