South Shore VNA’s Home-Based Outpatient Rehabilitation Program has been recognized with an Innovation Award from the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts, honoring its pioneering approach to advancing home health care. The recognition was part of HCA’s 40th annual Our “Time to Shine” Awards, which celebrate home care programs and clinicians from across Massachusetts for their commitment to quality patient care and colleague well-being.

Thomas McCarthy, ChFC®, AIF®, Managing Partner of KAF Wealth Management, was named a finalist for the Community Service Award from the Invest in Others organization, which honors financial advisors nationally for outstanding charitable work. In recognition of McCarthy’s service and commitment, the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation awarded $25,000 to South Shore Health in his honor.

Held in Weymouth, this event offers free, personalized check-ups to help older drivers optimize their vehicles to meet their needs.

IMPACT Melanoma Foundation and Arbella Insurance recently donated 150 “sun- safe” gift bags to South Shore Hospital’s newest parents and their newborns.

This fun-filled community event will help directly support the compassionate patient care offered at the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Health.
