It is a privilege to treat patients compassionately in our community. I strive for excellence, open communication, accessibility, and long-term relationships. Outside of work, I especially love spending time with my family, swimming, bicycling, tennis, golf, sailing, photography, and magic.

People come to the orthopedic surgeon seeking relief from pain and improved function. It is my goal to create a trusting doctor-patient relationship and make a treatment plan together. We have the same desire: for you to get better and back to life.

It is an honor to have patients place their trust in my hands. I strive to provide excellent care throughout a patient’s entire hospital stay, be it in the ED, OR, ICU or ward. Outside of work I enjoy spending as much time as possible outside with my family and friends.

Being a physician is an honor and a privilege I have enjoyed since graduating from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1979.  As my patients know I am interested in your life, your passions and the Orthopaedic issues that frustrate you and how I might be of assistance to you.  Surgery is not always a solution.

I take care of newborn infants and their great grandmothers.  In an era of sub-specialization, I am the "silver haired" General Orthopaedist but have maintained my surgical skills and remain confident in my abilities.  I have been fortunate to have treated multiple generations of my friends and neighbors here on the South Shore and work in a hospital committed to clinical excellence and compassionate care.

My philosophy is to have each patient feel safe and comfortable during their visits as we work together to obtain optimal women's health. 

I enjoy seeing patients on an ongoing basis and strive to develop long-term relationships that will allow me and my nurse practitioners to tailor our medical care for each individual patient's needs. We see patients in a setting that tries to foster a relaxed and friendly approach to patient care.

I am certified in menopause management as well as robotic surgery. I value being able to offer women information to assist them with transition through menopause. In addition, I have worked hard to make sure that women in the South Shore area have access to minimally invasive surgery and all it's benefits by offering robotic surgery to my patients. My nurse practitioners are especially adept at handling the needs of youth with their contraceptive needs, etc.
