South Shore Health’s Nurse Residency Program has earned Practice Transition Accreditation Program® (PTAP) accreditation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). This designation - the highest level awarded by the ANCC - recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence in preparing new nurses for successful transition into practice.

Our unique program, which helps parents feel more involved during their child's NICU stay, is featured in this month’s Journal of Perinatology.

This is the fourth consecutive verification for South Shore Hospital. As a Level II Trauma Center, the hospital is equipped to handle all critical injuries, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
