The influenza vaccine remains the best way to protect you and your family from the flu virus.

According to CDC recommendations, all individuals 6 months of age or older should receive the flu vaccine each year.

South Shore Health is prepared to meet the demand for flu vaccines this season.

For current South Shore Medical Center patients, scheduling for weekend flu vaccine clinics will open on Tuesday, September 16. Further details on these clinics can be found below.

Individuals who are not South Shore Medical Center patients can find information on flu vaccines at South Shore Health Urgent Care practices below as well.

South Shore Medical Center's Kingston and Norwell locations will offer flu vaccine clinics on select dates in early October:

  • Kingston: October 5, 8:30 AM-12:30 PM
  • Norwell: October 4, 8:30 AM-12:30 PM; October 8, 5-8 PM

Clinics will be held indoors at each practice. Upon entering the practice, patients will find signage directing them to the appropriate location for their clinic.

Appointments are required for all flu vaccines at South Shore Medical Center. Walk-in flu vaccines are not available.

Alternate accommodations will be made for patients who are getting a flu vaccine for the first time or have had adverse reactions to injections in the past.
