Edward W Nalband, MD

I grew up watching my father deliver primary care in his office, hospital, nursing homes and in patient’s homes. My mother was a nurse but I only knew her as my mother. I chose adult primary care medicine because of the variety, the values and skills instilled in me by my parents caring for others and the chance to impact people’s lives for the better.  

After training in Minnesota, I joined South Shore Medical Center in 1985. I’ve had numerous administrative roles over the years and some continue to the present. I feel privileged to be a leader and caregiver in South Shore Health - a physician-led organization relentlessly focused on improving health while advancing care delivery and experience for all.

I enjoy Peloton, riding the Pan-Mass Challenge, golf, summer vacation on the Vineyard, time spent with family, any adventure I am involved with my wife, and anytime I can spent with my grandchildren.
