Under autumn stars and a waxing moon, South Shore Health’s 19th annual Moonlight & Miracles Gala will take place outdoors on Friday, October 15 at Union Point in Weymouth, Mass.

This spectacular South Shore event will be hosted by radio and TV personality, Billy Costa, and will - once again – deliver a magical and exceptional evening that makes the Moonlight and Miracles Gala so unique.

“This event continues to evolve and prove to be the signature celebration on the South Shore,” said Angela Floro, Director of Special Events and Annual Giving for South Shore Health’s Foundation. “The magic of this evening is made even more possible thanks to the attendees who continue to support South Shore Health’s mission of delivering world-class care and resources to our community.”

Beginning at 7:00 PM, guests will enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvre’s, food stations, and dessert beneath a billowing white tent, followed by a short program, “Raise the Paddle,” and music by the upbeat and lively K2, a Kahootz Entertainment Band. The exquisite and chic affair will feature a live and silent digital auction, where guests may bid on one-of-a-kind items and experiences – such as weekend escapes and ultimate sports fan packages.

As part of South Shore Health’s Mission Critical: The Campaign for Our 2nd Century, funds raised from Gala will help integrate substance use disorder (SUD) and behavioral health services and initiatives within the Grayken Center for Treatment at South Shore Health, a critical resource on the South Shore.

Driven by a magnanimous $10 million grant – given by John and Eilene Grayken of Cohasset – the Grayken Center has allowed South Shore Health to integrate Behavioral Health clinicians in its ambulatory sites; establish a rapid care treatment location for people with SUD; and launch a Mobile Integrated Health program which includes South Shore Hospital Emergency Department and Emergency Medical Services working alongside local police and fire agencies.

The Grayken Center also supports South Shore Health’s collaboration with Aspire Health Alliance and supports South Shore Health’s strong relationship with the Office-Based Addiction Treatment program at Boston Medical Center.

“So many people are touched by substance use disorders and behavioral health challenges, and too few receive the care they deserve,” said Todd Kerensky, MD, Director of Addiction Medicine at South Shore Health. “We are extremely grateful to those in our community who are willing to help us support patients and families faced with these challenges, while ensuring that treatment is accessible to anyone who needs it.”

Due to fixed-tent capacity, space is limited at this year’s gala. Don’t miss out! Confirm your ticket and/or sponsorship today!
