South Shore Health’s Danielle Carr, MD, FACOG Honored for Her Work in the Field of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery

South Shore Health’s Danielle Carr, MD, FACOG, was recently honored by the American Academy of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) for her work in the field of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
Dr. Carr received the Olympus Golden Laparoscope Award for a surgical video she submitted about a novel technique for the treatment of uterine prolapse.
The signature award is presented to those who demonstrate excellence, achievement, and scientific contribution in the field of gynecologic surgery.
“Dr. Carr brings a high-level of knowledge and expertise to our patients, especially those with urogynecological problems affecting the pelvic floor and bladder,” said Kimberly Dever, MD, MBA, FACOG, Vice President of Women's Health, Chair, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at South Shore Health. “Her exemplary training offers patients a unique and comprehensive approach to care and treatment. Dr. Carr received her medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. She completed her fellowship training at Mount Auburn Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center before joining South Shore Health in October 2024.
