South Shore Health’s Peter E. Paull, MD, associate director of the Department of Medicine, is the co-winner of the 2019-2020 Mark Aisner, MD Award for Excellence in Teaching Physical Diagnosis.

The prestigious award was established in 1988 by Tufts University School of Medicine colleagues, former students, patients, and friends of Mark Aisner, a distinguished course director for physical diagnosis from 1946-1977.

Recipients of this award mirror Dr. Aisner’s career and exemplify a renowned path in education, research, and clinical practice in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Physiology.

Dr. Paull, a hospitalist at South Shore Hospital, was nominated for his ability to expertly teach and emphasize physical diagnosis skills during core clerkships.

He was presented the award at the annual Tufts Faculty Awards Meeting along with co-winner Rhonda S. Fogle, MD a pediatrician from Lahey Health.
