Elective Surgeries, Outpatient Procedures Continuing as Scheduled

As the situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to evolve, South Shore Health is committed to taking all necessary precautions to keep our patients, staff, and community safe.

At this time, all elective surgeries and outpatient procedures will continue as scheduled across South Shore Health. This includes procedures at South Shore Hospital and at the South Shore Health Center for Orthopedics, Spine, and Sports Medicine.

Along with enhanced screening for COVID-19, we have implemented additional safety measures across South Shore Health designed to reduce the spread of infectious disease, including postponing classes and support groups and restricting visitors at South Shore Hospital.

Our facilities are held to strict, aggressive cleanliness standards at all times, and we have taken additional steps to increase the frequency of all cleaning and disinfecting processes at each location.

South Shore Health will continue to monitor COVID-19 and will make adjustments as the situation changes.
