November 18 is National Injury Prevention Day, a time to raise awareness of injury prevention strategies for individuals of all ages.
Join South Shore Health's Trauma Program Injury Prevention Team for an informative discussion on how older adults can reduce their risk of injury from falls, accidents, and other hazards.
This online program will be led by Sharon Gannon, BSN, RN, South Shore Health Trauma Program Injury Prevention Coordinator.
Sharon will be joined by a variety of different speakers, each of whom will shed light on different injury prevention strategies.
The goal of this program is to teach practical injury prevention knowledge that older adults and their caregivers can use in their everyday lives.
Scheduled speakers will be added to this page as they are confirmed, so stay tuned for further details!
Along with adults and their caregivers, this event is perfect for book clubs, church groups, social clubs, councils on aging, and more.
While this is an online program, limited space for in-person attendance will be available. Please reach out to Sharon at sgannon [at] southshorehealth.org (sgannon[at]southshorehealth[dot]org) for more information.
This event is free, but registration is required in order to receive the link to join the virtual program.
If you have any specific questions you'd like to hear answered at this event, please email Sharon at sgannon [at] southshorehealth.org (sgannon[at]southshorehealth[dot]org).
