Colleague Spotlight: Celebrating Richard Pascarelli!

Each month, South Shore Health gives the Colleague Spotlight Award to a colleague who demonstrates exemplary behaviors, actions, and/or work practices that reflect the values of South Shore Health.

We're proud to celebrate Richard (Rick) Pascarelli as our Colleague Spotlight Award recipient for August!

Rick is Finance Manager for South Shore VNA.

"Rick is so deserving of this award," said Elizabeth Sulger, Interim Vice President - South Shore VNA. "He goes above and beyond for every colleague. He, on his own time, plans events that will bring people together, make them happy."

Along with his job as Finance Manager, Rick helps lead the Fun Club at our Home Care Division, where he organizes contests, raffles, parties, and more to help bring a little fun to the workday and encourage colleagues to get together.

"Grilled Cheese Day was probably one of his best events," said Elizabeth. "He has done pancake breakfasts, Hot Dog Day, a meatball cook-off."

"I don't do it for an award," said Rick. "I do it because it just makes it a better place to work. I just do it to brighten up my little piece of the world."

Rick was nominated for Colleague Spotlight recognition by Simi Kaur, Organizational Development & Engagement Advisor.

"Rick went over to the Hospital one day to work on a project with [Simi & team] for colleague engagement," said Elizabeth. "From my knowledge, he's probably one of the best people to go over there and do that. He impressed them so much that they nominated him for this award."
