I strive to provide high quality, safe, comprehensive anesthesia services and care to all my patients in the perioperative period. 

In the 8 years that I have been practicing anesthesia, I am resolute in my belief that creating and fostering a team environment with effective communication is crucial to developing an atmosphere of trust and the key to providing high quality care inside and outside of the OR with patients and colleagues alike.  As a collegiate athlete and previous marketing manager in my first career, I try to bring these skills and values into the OR and Anesthesia department. Outside of work, I love recreating in the outdoors. From snowboarding, hiking, biking, to waterskiing, beach lounging and lake time with my family, I love it all. Most importantly I love spending time with my husband and two daughters.

As a midwife, I affirm the powerful societal choice that women make when they choose to be actively involved in their healthcare.  I enjoy working collaboratively with families to find choices that are right for them. In my free time I enjoying rowing, cross stitch, and playing with my three cats.

I strive to help patients attain the best health possible; have full understanding of their health issues; and equip them to take partnership in managing their health.

I believe completely in treating each of my patients as an individual. I believe that really listening can be just as important as any physical exam or test. Outside of my work in medicine I am a musician and I enjoy reading and spending time with my dog.

An admission to the hospital can be a very stressful time, no matter what the diagnosis is. While treating a patient's condition, I believe education and communication is very important. I enjoy spending time with my patients and their family, discussing their condition, and developing a treatment plan. Outside of work, my biggest joy is my family. 

My treatment philosophy and focus is to diagnose and treat patients ages 15 – 100 whom have a variety of breast issues including but not limited to infection, pregnancy related breast issues, genetic risk for cancer, abscesses, skin disorders, abnormal breast imaging, breast lumps, and past or current personal history of breast cancer.

I've been an RN since 1981, working in Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Ventilator Care. I've been a NP since 1996. I'm a graduate of Columbia University in Adult Health and Oncology. I worked in New Jersey for 20 years in Internal Medicine and combined Oncology prior to relocating to Massachusetts in 2003.
