I received my undergraduate degree from Harvard University. I completed my medical degree at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Camden, NJ. My surgical and urological residency took place at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn, NY. I am certified with the American Board of Urology and am passionate about providing high quality patient care in a compassionate environment.

It has been my privilege to practice medicine and to have made a difference in the lives of my patients over the past 21 years. I enjoy the challenges of practicing internal medicine in a hospital setting and working as part of a team with our excellent hospitalist providers, consultants, nursing and ancillary staff. I served as Medical Director of the Hospitalist Department from 2009-2015 and am proud to say that we have an amazing program with dedicated clinicians who genuinely enjoy the care of hospitalized patients and are committed to excellence in their every day work. I enjoy giving back by participating in the Pan Mass Challenge which raises critical funds for cancer research and the Multiple Sclerosis cycling events. I enjoy boating, hiking and camping, and long distance bicycling and, most importantly, spending time with my family.

My goal as an FNP is to create a safe and welcoming environment where patients can openly share their concerns and trust that I’ll provide the best possible care. 

I always strive to better my practice to have the opportunity to make a difference in my patients' lives. I want to be the provider that patients come to, knowing they will feel heard; and empowering them to take control of their overall wellbeing. I believe in the importance of going above and beyond for each individual patient to optimize their quality of life. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and hiking with my wife and dog!

My treatment focus is to ensure that each and every patient receives the best care and that their care plan is tailored to meet their individual needs and diagnosis. 

I believe that working with hematology and oncology patients is a calling and it is truly an honor to be a part of each patient’s care. It is extremely important that every patient have a treatment plan that fits their diagnosis and needs, and that this plan is communicated clearly with all members of the treatment team.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, hiking, and walking the beach.

My treatment philosophy is to establish good rapport with patients during their difficult moments, and to focus on shared decision-making while working on treatment plans and management of acute issues.

I have been practicing medicine for more than 20 years now. I like communicating with patients while focusing on their medical issues and helping formulate plans to meet the treatment needs. Apart from medicine, I enjoy spending time with my two boys, cooking and baking. I am an avid nature lover and enjoy hiking. Exploring new places brings me true happiness. Yoga and meditation helps me unwind after hectic days.
