Treatment of disease begins with a correct diagnosis, using all of the available clinical and laboratory data available. While we do not have the same visibility to the patient as their primary care provider or surgeon, pathologists are an integral part of every patient's health care team, assuring that their physicians have accurate and timely pathology and laboratory data on which to act.  Away from the office, I'm a singer and cellist - you can find your way to my office by following the music.

My focus is to provide patients with knowledge and insight into their specific health conditions.

I pride myself on taking a patient-centered approach to building effective care plans that go beyond the diagnosis of my patients. I am a certified Physician's Assistant who graduated from MCPHS University, Boston with a Master's of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS.) My previous experience is in primary care and outpatient cardiology. 

Originally from Western Massachusetts, I moved to the South Shore after graduation. I enjoy spending time with my friends, family, and puppy, Oakes. I am also an avid reader and beach-goer. 

My mission is to provide exceptional care to hematology and oncology patients, and support patients and their families when they are at their most vulnerable. 

It is a privilege and an honor to have the opportunity to establish meaningful, long-term relationships with my patients and their families. I believe in open, honest communication and a patient-centered model when formulating a treatment plan. I look forward to supporting my patients not only physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. 

Outside of work, I enjoy spin classes, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends. 

My goal is to educate, support, and empower women to make choices about their health that they feel good!

I believe in providing women with education and options that empower them to make healthy decisions that contribute to better health for themselves and their families. I see the importance and benefit in a model of shared decision making. When I'm not midwifing it up I like to write, read, run, bake and hang with my kids and husband!

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College and my medical degree from Loyola University in Chicago. Upon graduation from Loyola, I returned to my native Long Island to complete my residency in pediatrics at SUNY Stony Brook. Following an additional year as Chief Resident, I returned to Massachusetts to settle. Professionally, I cherish the privilege of establishing long-term relationships with my patients' families and playing a small role in assisting a child to blossom into a happy, healthy, well-adjusted adult. In my spare time, I enjoy kayaking, practicing yoga, going to the beach, and spending time with my husband and five children.
 

It is truly an honor to participate in the care and lives of my patients. My passion is driven by the bonds I build with my patients over the course of their lives and the enjoyment and satisfaction I hold in treating them to be as healthy and pain free as possible. It is to the extent that I feel that  "I truly have the best job in the world."

My mission is to provide an accurate diagnosis in patient's with complicated presentations and complex disease states.

I am drawn to Hospital Medicine for the acute care problem solving. I believe that the patient's "story" should be accurately presented and the diagnosis should "fit" the presentation. If it doesn't, the work up continues to reveal the missing piece of the puzzle. Communicating the plan of care and expectations re:hospital course allow for a more positive experience during an otherwise difficult time. Outside of work I enjoy spending time near the water in the Ocean State and attending car shows.

My mission is to give the same care to my patients as I would want for my family or myself.    

I was born and raised in the Boston area.  After a long period of schooling and training across the country (New Hampshire, Ohio, California, Pennsylvania), I have been honored to return home to take good care of my people!  When not fixing retinas, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my wife and three children.
