The Friends of South Shore Health’s 2022 Kickin’ Up Country for Home Care event raised more than $28,500 to support Home Care services.

South Shore Hospital, part of South Shore Health, has received an Innovator Award from the editors of Healthcare Innovation for its groundbreaking work in Clinical Pharmacy Practice by improving the medication reconciliation process.

This is the third consecutive award for the Richard and Joann Aubut Critical Care Unit and its team of caregivers.

Members of South Shore Health’s EMS, Emergency Department and Trauma Services Teams are being honored with the Outstanding Team Response Award by the Metropolitan Boston Emergency Medical Services Council (MBEMSC).

This certification recognizes South Shore Hospital’s dedication to improving the quality of life for patients living with pulmonary and respiratory health challenges.

The new unit, located on the first floor near the hospital’s Main Entrance, doubles short-stay capacity from 10 to 20 beds.

South Shore Health’s Nurse Residency Program has earned Practice Transition Accreditation Program® (PTAP) accreditation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). This designation - the highest level awarded by the ANCC - recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence in preparing new nurses for successful transition into practice.
