People come to the orthopedic surgeon seeking relief from pain and improved function. It is my goal to create a trusting doctor-patient relationship and make a treatment plan together. We have the same desire: for you to get better and back to life.

I graduated from Tufts University and received my medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. I completed my surgical and urological residencies at Massachusetts General Hospital. I am certified by the American Board of Urology and I strive to provide the highest quality patient care in a warm compassionate environment.

My mission is to educate patients on their health conditions and provide personalized care to patients and their families.

I am passionate about providing the best possible care to patients. Entering the hospital can be a scary and stressful time for patients and their families. As a provider, I hope to ease this transition and cater to patient’s physical and emotional needs. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, exercising, and spending time with my family.

My focus is to provide high quality health care and excellent communication with my patients. 

I have worked clinically as a PA since 2014 in a variety of health care settings including hospitals, clinics, and subacute rehabs. This has provided me a deeper understanding of the healthcare system and the trajectory of the patient experience across multiple healthcare settings. Outside of work, I love music, traveling, and food.

I became a Physician Assistant because I love people, medicine, and teamwork. It is a privilege to be a part of someone’s health care team and I aim to do my best for each patient. I care for patient’s 18 and older by following medical guidelines, research and carefully listening to a patient’s history.

Outside of work, I love to spend time with my family, run and read.

I love caring for children and their families, whether it be supporting parents as they learn how to care for their newborns or helping a sick child recover from an acute illness. I believe in shared decision-making and incorporating each family's individual needs and goals into their child's care. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, running, and traveling.

My goal is to care for our patients as we would our loved ones: with expertise, compassion, and respect.

I grew up in the Chicago area and graduated from University of Chicago before moving to Boston for medical training at Boston University, followed by residency at Boston Medical Center.

I have been a hospitalist attending physician at South Shore Hospital since 2012. I married in 2006 and have two girls.

My journey to becoming a physician has led me not only to multiple states, but also abroad to Haiti and Jordan on medical mission trips. I am continually learning from my patients and their experiences. I translate this clinical knowledge to all of my new patients. 

Outside of work I enjoy exercising, traveling, and spending time with my family

My mission is to assure that patients are comfortable, informed, and receive high quality care while in the hospital.

It is a privilege to help my patients by providing quality care while they are in the hospital. I believe that everyone's medical care should be individually tailored as we all have unique characteristics that need to be considered when deciding on a treatment plan. Good communication is essential to good care.

Dr. Devan grew up in New Hampshire and received a bachelor's degree in engineering at RPI. He earned his MD at Tufts in 2017 and completed his urology residency at Maine Medical Center in 2022. His focus is general urology and robotics. He enjoys developing a shared treatment plan with his patients. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his husband and family.
