My mission is to teach patients how better health habits can prevent many diseases.

It is a privilege to help people and establish long-term relationships with my patients. I believe that everyone's medical care should be individually tailored. We all have unique characteristics that need to be considered when deciding a treatment plan. Communication is paramount. Outside of work, I love exercising, working in my garden, and spending time at the Cape; however, most importantly I love spending time with my family.
 

My goal as a provider is to provide a listening ear so my patients are aware that I care about their concerns. 

I have been a nurse practitioner in Women's health since 2009. I have enjoyed establishing rapport with my patients over these years. Outside of work, I love traveling, going to the beach, cooking, baking, and spending time with my husband and three children. 

My objective is to help my patients manage and maintain their physical and mental health. 

I truly enjoy working with and helping my patients to be their healthiest versions of themselves. I enjoy the long-term relationships that I have developed. it is important to me to take the time to listen, communicate, and build trust with my patients. 

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, hiking, reading, lifting weights, and spending time with my friends and family.  

In my career as an emergency physician, I have gotten to take care of patients in both the usual emergency department setting as well as some other unusual environment. Regardless of the location, one thing remains the same - it is about the patient and the care they need at a time of medical crisis. I spend most of my time outside of work, still engaged in medicine with a variety of emergency response organizations as well as the military.

Prior to joining Cohasset Pediatrics I practiced pediatrics south of Boston for nine years and was Chief of Pediatrics for four years within that practice.  

I received my undergraduate degree in Drama from New York University’s Tisch School of Arts.  Working as an actress afforded me the opportunity to travel professionally and experience life as a performing artist in New York City, Los Angeles and London. While working in show business was certainly exciting, I found my true calling working as a physician partnering with parents to help provide the best medical care for their children.

When not at work, I love spending time with my husband and two children and enjoy singing when I get the chance.

My mission is to provide excellent care to all of those in need with compassion and empathy.

I grew up in Duxbury, MA on the South Shore and attended Colby College in Maine. I then obtained my Master of Science degree at Mercer University School of Medicine in Georgia. After securing those credentials I attended MGH Institute of Health Professions for PA school, where I graduated in 2021. I take pride in getting to know each patient, their specific medical condition and then guiding them through difficult medical pathways and stressful circumstances. I enjoy my work/life balance and love traveling, workout classes, skiing, and everything wellness.

My goal as a physician is to help patients learn about the importance of following preventative measurements and living a well-balanced life to tackle many diseases before they become debilitating illnesses.

I am excited to be part of the South Shore Hospital Medicine team. I believe patient education and communication are the key components to provide the best possible care to all my patients. My training has helped me master the skills to provide evidence-based, culturally competent, and patient centered care to all my patients. It is my honor to be able to provide you the needed medical care while you are admitted to the South Shore Hospital.

Outside of work, I love hiking, painting, and exploring different places.

M. Reza Afrasiabi, MD

My mission is to provide every patient on the acute care surgery and trauma surgery services with the highest quality of care inside and outside of the operating room.

I was raised in Southern California and moved to Boston to complete my undergraduate degree in mathematics at MIT.  After completing general surgery residency in Chicago, I moved back to Boston to complete fellowships in Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery at the Brigham. I love the outdoors and spend my free time snowboarding and hiking throughout the northeast with my friends and family.
