Dr. Peter Orio, Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at Dana-Farber/Brigham Cancer Center at South Shore Hospital

I aim to improve patient’s lung health and help patients and families through critical illnesses.

I work to provide excellent care in the acute and outpatient settings, in close collaboration with other specialists and staff. I am passionate about helping everyone reach their individual health goals.

I'm a Senior Network Physician practicing at Dana-Farber Community Cancer Care in Weymouth. I am certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Hematology, Medical Oncology and Hospice and Palliative Medicine.  I received my BA from Oberlin College and my MD from Tufts University School of Medicine.  I did my training in Internal Medicine at Boston City Hospital and her Hematology-Oncology training at New England Medical Center. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, music and outdoor pursuits.

I have been a physician's assistant in women’s health for close to 30 years on the South Shore. I enjoy seeing women in their many phases of life. I feel privileged when patients I met at the start of my career bring their daughters and granddaughters in to see me for their care. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family.
