My mission is to make my patients feel more at ease and provide excellent care throughout the perioperative process. 

After college I worked on an ambulance and quickly learned that I enjoyed caring for my patients in acute settings.  Similarly as an anesthesiologist, I like the immediate good I can do for people.  What I enjoy most though, is hopefully making people feel less anxious and more emotionally supported through stressful situations.

My philosophy is to listen carefully, ask the right questions, and offer my expertise within the scope of my skills.

I was born in New York City to immigrant Latino parents. Yes, I root for the Yankees, of course!

Outside of work, I enjoy physical fitness and spending time with my family. 
 

Prior to joining Cohasset Pediatrics I practiced pediatrics south of Boston for nine years and was Chief of Pediatrics for four years within that practice.  

I received my undergraduate degree in Drama from New York University’s Tisch School of Arts.  Working as an actress afforded me the opportunity to travel professionally and experience life as a performing artist in New York City, Los Angeles and London. While working in show business was certainly exciting, I found my true calling working as a physician partnering with parents to help provide the best medical care for their children.

When not at work, I love spending time with my husband and two children and enjoy singing when I get the chance.

My treatment approach is centered around empowering individuals to take control of their own well-being. My focus is on providing a safe and supportive environment for my patients, enhance their self-awareness. My goal is to work collaboratively with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique  needs and goals.

I graduated from medical school in Eastern Europe. My OBGYN residency training took place in NYC at Maimonides medical Center. Outside of work, I love swimming and biking ; however, most importantly I love spending time with my family.

It is a privilege to help people and establish long-term relationships with my patients. I believe that everyone's medical care should be individually tailored. 

Communication is the single most important tool in medicine which I try to achieve every day.

In my free time I enjoy cooking, spending time outdoors, and being with friends and family.

I am honored to treat and work with my patients. When I am not working, I am running marathons or trails, skiing, biking or cooking. Health and wellness are some of my passions.

I am originally from Cambridge, Massachusetts. I practiced in Quincy for 30 years before coming to South Shore Medical Center in 2002. I am experienced in abdominal surgery, trauma, and management of skin and soft tissue tumors. 

People come to the orthopedic surgeon seeking relief from pain and improved function. It is my goal to create a trusting doctor-patient relationship and make a treatment plan together. We have the same desire: for you to get better and back to life.
